No, I am the Victim.

The body cam video footage from the Moab Police in Utah interviewing Gabby Petito and Brian Laundry revealed a common issue that for decades, domestic violence victims have been sounding the alarm. Police ignore obvious signs of abuse, ignore witnesses, facts and paint victims as the primary aggressor. As Gabby's story overwhelmed the airways and social media world-wide, many survivors began to share their stories of when they were wrongfully arrested. Some went to prison. Others, like Gabby, 0were just detained. However, the stories have similar themes, the abuser's crimes were ignored, and the victim paying the price. Our #IamGabby campaign is to create awareness of how certain domestic violence legislation is faulted and how law enforcement need training in trauma and coercive control. If you been arrested when you were the victim, please fill out this survey. You can also lend your voice to our campaign here.
